| Abstract: | The most popular internet slang in 2008 must be “shanzhai”, which extends from “shanzhai products” to “shanzhai phenomenon” and “shanzhai culture”. The translation of “shanzhai” becomes a top concern for translators. The author attempts to analyze the metaphorical meanings of “shanzhai” and its translation from the perspectives of context. |
