| Abstract: | Summary A specific radioimmunoassay for prostaglandin D2 was developed. Using the radioimmunoassay, prostaglandin D2 synthesis by human thrombocytes was measured. While the cyclooxygenase inhibitor indomethacin inhibits formation of prostaglandin D2, increased formation of prostaglandin D2 was observed in the presence of the thromboxane synthetase inhibitor imidazole.This work was supported by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft. |
