| Abstract: | Genetic Algorithm (GA) is a kind of adaptive, heuristic, probabilistic and iterated searching algorithm.An improved GA is applied to load forecasting for the power system of a province,and satisfactory results are obtained.A comparison of the calculated result with that from the gray prediction model indicates that the forecast with GA is satisfying. |
