从土壤形成条件、土层特征及命名沿革等方面考证了“栗褐土”既具有褐土向栗钙土过渡的性质,又具有相对独立性,论述了作为土类提出而称之为“栗褐土”的合理性。

A Study on the Soil Nomeclature in Shanxi. Hebei Provinces and Neimenggo Autonomous Region

The paper mainly disscusses the soil nomenclature,which distributes between shanxi,Hebei provinces and NeiMenggu autonomous region,on its forming conditions,developmental features,nomeclature process and so on.The soil was once called"unmature light chestnut earth","gray cinnamonic soil ","black cinnamonic soil",etc. Drab is to the southeast of it. Chestnut earth to the Northwest. The climatic conditions of it is moister and heater than that of chestnut earth,colder and drier than that of Drab soil. Zonal vegetation is shrubbery sttepe. The soil derivedfrom loessal with intense erosion.From its weak developmental typical features and physical-chemical quantitative indexes,it shows"thrce weaks"of a unique soil forming process with weak humification,calcification and argillation.It quite different from neighbouring Drab soil, chestnutearth,Yellowish mellow soil in essential property. Butc to a certain extent, it has somefeatures of them.The soil has wide distribution,large area and unique essential properties, thereforeit is suitable for it to be determined as a new soil group and named Chestnut-Drabsoil. Itcan reflect better soil genesis zonality in the region.
