低功率激光在镍合金分光镜上的自聚焦现象

摘    要:功率在几百毫瓦量级的低功率Ar 激光器所发出的488nm激光束,在未聚焦的情况下(光强度在40W/cm2左右),经镍合金镀膜的分光镜后,观察到自聚焦现象.实验结果表明非线性光折射现象产生于膜层与玻璃基底的交界面,证明在此交界处存在一层非线性介质,是一种新的非线性材料.实验结果还表明此非线性现象的产生机理是光 热效应,并给出实验设置和测试资料,分析了实验结果.

Abstract:Laser self-focusing has been observed when several hundred milliwatts 488 nm Ar~ laser beam irradiates on a nickel alloy coated beam splitter.The beam was not focused and had the intensity around 40 W/cm~2.The experimental results demonstrate that the nonlinear refraction is induced on the interface between the coating and the glass substrate,indicating that there is a layer of nonlinear medium at the interface.The medium is a new nonlinear material that has not been reported before.The experimental results also show that the mechanism of the nonlinearity is optic-thermal effect.Experimental arrangement and measured data are presented.The experimental results are analyzed.
