| Abstract: | Summary The aqueous ethanolic extract of 2 related marine spongesHaliclona sp. andChalinopsilla sp. displayed antidermatophyte activities specific forTrichophyton mentagrophytes. The active consituent of both sponges was isolated and shown to be L-azetidine-2-carboxylic acid. |
