| Abstract: | D.H. Lawrence was an outstanding psychology novelist of Britain in the 20th century. In D.H. Lawrence's novels "The Sons and Lovers" and "The Rainbow" symbolism played a very important role in revealing the complicated, inner psychological state of characters (including conscious and unconscious spiritual activities). Three main types of symbolism were used by Lawrence: Symbolic episodes, symbolic images and symbolic mythology. |
