Zhou Dunyi's poems and his moral character

Zhou Dunyi was the founder of Neo-Confucianism as well as poetic school of neo-Confucianism. He was noble-minded, refined and indifferent to fame and fortune. He was fond of mountains and rivers and chanted them. Most of his poems, which were as limpid as his character, were devoted to praising the wind and the moon as well as mountains and rivers.
