Comparison of Educational Ideas between Zhang Jian and Luo Zhenyu

Both Zhang Jian and Luo Zhenyu lived in the historical period when China was turning dramatically from the semi-feudalism to the semi-colonialism,and facing the possibility of perdition and extinction.Both of them held high the banner of rescuing China through education and put it into practice.They made an indelible contribution to the educational cause at the end of the Qing Dynasty and in the beginning of the Republic of China.Although they shared many of the opinions,yet because they came from different backgrounds,they had different political aims and ambitions,therefore difference existed between them.However,both of them had given the younger generations a rich heritage in both material and culture.
