This paper describes an adaptive intelligent tutoring system (ITS) based on www . The basic structure of the system is similar to standard ITS . Its individualized tu- toring mechanism is accomplished by employing adaptive learning and mastering teach- ing strategy. The main features of the system are( 1 ) the judgement of student's know- ledge state is based on the frequency of chosen nodes and score, and(2) lesson materials are adaptively presented and developed based on history learning.
