促进社会公平和正义是构建社会主义和谐社会的关键环节,是社会主义的本质要求。当前,导致社会不和谐的根源之一是社会分配不公,贫富差距拉大。为此,必须坚持公平与效率的统一,正确处理按劳分配为主体和实行多种分配方式的关系,统筹协调不同方面群众的利益,切实解决地区之间和部分社会成员收入差距过大的问题,逐步实现全体人民的共同富裕,为构建和谐社会奠定基础。

Fairness and justice is the essence of a socialist harmonious society and lack of it in social distribution produces a widened gap between rich and poor and an unharmonious society.Therefore it is vital to obtain a harmony of fairness and efficiency through social distribution taking into consideration all people's interest and narrowing the big gap between rich and poor in some places consciously.In this way the common prosperity of all people can be realized and a harmonious society founded.
