民主德国在二战后，迅速靠计划手段将竞技水平发展到一个较高的水平．在其体育发展过程中，重视学校体育对人全面发展的培养，竞技体育重视优秀选手的培养，包括通过学校进行培养，在大众体育的参与上，政府和社会团体共同发挥作用．但由于过分重视竞技的政治意义，执行僵化的体育体制，导致体育领域出现许多的问题，最后走向崩溃，而这些为我国体育发展提供了经验与教训．

The Survey on the Sport-development of the East Germany

The East Germany promotion its sport degree quickly after the world war II. The government emphasis the role of sport in the field of all-around education, pay much attention to the train of players, especially though school education; the government and the sport clubs unite in a body for promotion the participation of mass. But the government put too attention to the political role of sport, and its sport system become rigid after the social background changed, at last the system come to collapse. These provide many experiences and lessons for China sport-development.
