after the induction and ana1ysis on the training characteristics of the high jump events forboth male and Female, the shot put, middle and 1ong-distance race and Marath on for female, we candraw such a comclusion:it is just because we make a breakthough in the original Charaiteristics of theprevious events and constantly bring forth new ideas to the old training method that make several eventsof track and field in China successful. This paper also points out such an objective law: under givenhistorical conditions,an event can be prosperous by blazing new trails,otherwise,it will decline.
