| Abstract: | The concept of virtual water is presented here. The virtual water strategy is discussed systematically. Taking arid land in north-west China as an example,we think that virtual water strategy is a valid path to solve the scarcity of water resources scarcity; meanwhile it is a new idea to achieve water security in the region. |
