蔡絛其著述考论

蔡絛系北宋奸相蔡京之子，宋人朱胜非及〈宋史·蔡京传》共指为恶，因负千载骂名。本文意在论证朱胜非及《宋史·蔡京传》“肆为奸利”之评不可信。蔡絛之为人不过纨绔任性，并非奸恶。蔡僚喜著述，乃宋代笔记作家中的大家。《铁围山丛谈》为世所共悉，然其所著《西清诗话》、《北征纪实》、《国史补》、《国史后补》等则未受世人注目，实价值亦颇大，本文特为表出之。

On the Study of Cai Tao and His Works

Cai Tao,Caijing＇son, went down in history as a byword of infamy, being considered as a vile creature by Zhu Shenfgfei in Song Dynasty and in the book The History of Song Dynasty The Bi~rgraphy of Caijing.This paper intends to prove that these were wrong assumptions.Cai Tao was not mali- cious,but capricious. As one of the greatest sketch writers, Cai Tao was keen on writing and produced a number ~f excellent works.His work,Tieweishan Congtan, was well known to the world, however his many other works,such as Xiqing Shihua,Beizheng Jishi,Guoshibu and Guoshi Houbu remained obscure, were of great value to the world literature, which is discussed in this paper..
