如何在外语学习中培养文化能力

从语言学习和大学英语教学目的两方面论述了文化背景知识在培养文化能力与语言能力方面的重要性。结合作者教学实践，指出在大学英语教学中，要有意识地利用课堂教学内容，介绍目标语中的文化内涵、习俗文化、心态文化、思维文化和历史文化等。同时，还要通过第二课堂活动和外籍教师的作用来丰富学生的英美文化知识，以帮助他们提高英美文化能力与交际能力。

Discussion on the importance of cultivating culture ability in college English teaching

This paper discusses that culture background knowledge plays an important role in cultivating the culture ability and lauguage performance from such two viewpoints as the language learning and the purpose of college English teaching.The authors point out that in college English teaching, the teachers should make full use of classroom teaching to introduce the relevant culture about custom,thinking,history,the state of mind and the connotation in the words. Meanwhile,by means of extracurricular activities and with the help of foreign teachers,the teachers enrich students' English and American culture knowlege in an effort to help them improve their culture ability and communicative competence.
