| Abstract: | The Scarlet Letter is one of the representative works of Nathaniel Hawthorne.The three leading characters in the novel all have sins,but in order to liberate themselves from the sins,they try to perfect themselves in the real life.At last,they all achieve the purification of their minds and souls.The essay is to make a good understanding of the main theme,redemption of the novel through analyzing the beauty and evilness in their nature. |
