| Abstract: | A comparison is made in this paper on the theory and calculation of three methods commonly used in slope stability analysis, namely, Swedish circle method, simplified Bishop's method and Janbu method. Besides, the influences of thrustline assumption in Janbu method, earthquake loading, and pore water pressure parameter (?), on the safety factor of slope are studied. |
