Abstract:In this paper, the physical-chemical characteristics of dust-sludge-slag in iron and steel plants and direct reduction of pellet, which is made of dust-sludge- slag, are studied. The principal series tests are conducted in accordance with a three-factor, central composite, rotable design. The three variables studied are temperature, time and C/Fe ratio at five levels. The main results are shown by six regression equations and a set of contour diagrams. The test results are showing that producing metallized pellet is an efficient way for comprchellsive utilization of iron-bearing dust, sludge and slag.
