| Abstract: | This paper reports the method dealing with the microbial protoplasts by factors of mutagen. The protoplasts of phaffia rhodozyma are treated with ultravoilet and the mutant strain is obtained. The mutant strain can produce carotene 1.6 times more than the parent strain. |
