花型设计系统中的图象数据库

本文建立了一个用于纺织花型设计系统的图象数据库 PDIDB(Pattern Design ImageDatabase)。利用 PDIDB 存贮花型设计中所需的各种素材,以满足设计人员对素材的查询要求。PDIDB 系统的特点是:①设计中引入图象数据的逻辑值和物理值,使系统结构简单;②PDIDB 是在通用关系数据库 INFORMIX 基础上扩展而构成的,为 INFORMIX 的应用开辟了一条新的途径;③具有较强的人机对话能力,用户不必经过特殊训练即可使用该系统;④PDIDB的各种命令设计成调用形式,因此为 PDIDB 的进一步开发提供了方便;⑤图象的数据采用顺序存贮方法和存贮区分页方法,大大提高了空间利用率。PDIDB 系统是在 ALTOS-986微型计算机和 IBM PC/XT 微型计算机构成的双机系统上运行的。ALTOS-986机作为主机,管理图象数据库;而 PC/XT 既作为 ALTOS-986机的终端,实现对 PDIDB 的操作,又作为图形工作站,实现图象的显示、输入、输出和编辑等功能。PDIDB 主要由两部分组成:一是图象存贮管理系统;另一是图象特征管理系统。PDIDB 系统共有存贮、检索、删除、修改等操作功能。

IMAGE DATABASE FOR PATTERN DESIGN SYSTEM

This paper describes a pattern design system of textile industry,the establishment ofan image database,which is used to store various kinds of source materials for designers'reference to speed up the design process.The characteristics of PDIDB are as follows:(1)Introduce logical and physical values ofimage in design to simplify the structure of system.(2)PDIDB system is formed and ex-panded based on the basis of general relation database INFORMIX,thus opening up a newway for the application of INFORMIX(3)Greater power for man-machine conversationusers need not be trained specially to use PDIDB.(4)Commands of PDIDB are planned incall form,which makes it esay to further develop the PDIDB.(5)Adopt the sequential storemethod and the pageing store area,for image data storage,thus greatly increasing the spaceutilization ratio.PDIDB runs on the double-machine hardware system composed of ALTOS-986 andIBM PC/XT computer,the former being a main frame to manage image database,and thelatter,its simulated terminal to operate PDIDB and also a image processing station to input,output,edit and display image data.PDIDB primarily consists of two parts,the image storemanagement system and the image character management system.PDIDB system has thefunction of store,retrieval,deleting,updating commands and so on.
