装饰图案艺术中的传统与现代

结合艺术设计专业的学生对中国传统图案知之甚少，对国外现代艺术不能理解吸取的问题，探讨图案艺术的传统性与现代性．论述了中国传统装饰图案造型手法与西方现代艺术表现方法的共同点及差异性．文中认为：艺术设计中的图案教学，应该培养学生对中国传统图案装饰风格、造型规律的认识，以及装饰思想的理解，加强学生对传统文化的修养；同时还应该使学生了解西方现代艺术造型的方法与思想本原．通过对中西图案造型及思想的理解，使学生认识到中西古今在造型上的相通之处，这样就不会食古不化，也不会崇洋媚外，从而拓展学生的设计思维空间．

The tradition and modern in the pattern design art

The common ground and difference between the ornament style of Chinese tranditional pattern and the characteristics of western modern art were analyzed.It is pointed out that the students should be trained to understand not only the ornament style of Chinese traditional pattern, but also the characteristics of western (modelling) and thought of ornament in pattern design education in art design;On one hand, Chinese traditional culture should be strengthened. On the other hand, western (modelling) methods and the origin of western (modern) art should also be understood by students.By this, students will learn to undetstand the common (points) in pattern design from both the traditional Chinese and the western modelling point of view. Thus, they will neither indulge too much in the traditional Chinese pattern, nor worship and blind faith in (western) modelling. As a result, students' designing thoughts will be much broadened.
