| 摘 要： | 目前的Web搜索服务在查找信息的准确性方面与人们的期望相比仍存在一定的差距。本文的目标是提出一种机制，用于改进Web搜索服务的易用性。作者提出了一个新的概念thumbnail，用来表示Web搜索服务中的一个信息单位。作者研究了thumbnail在Web搜索服务中的应用，实现了一个支持thumbnail机制的实际系统WebThumb。

| Abstract: | The net citizen are not satisfied with the accuracy of the search results that the current Web search services return. The goal of this paper is to develop a machanism that can improve the usefulness of Web search services. The authors defined a new concept“thumbnail", that is an information unit in Web search services. The authors made the researches on the application of thumbnail in Web search services and developed a practical system WebThumb that supports thumbnail machanism. |
