浅谈高职院校专业技术英语教学对英语教师素质的挑战

高职院校英语教学分为两个阶段，即基础英语教学阶段与专业技术英语教学阶段，人们往往重视前者而忽视后者，造成学生所学英语知识无法与其今后工作充分地衔接。专业技术英语教学的重要性毋庸置疑，其教学上存在的诸多不足也是不争的事实。笔者认为：教师的整体素质是影响教学质量的关键因素。文章分析了专业英语教学的师资现状以及影响专业技术英语教师进行英语教学的相关因素．阐述了关于专业技术英语教师提高自身素质、应对挑战的若干建议。

A Brief Talk on the Challenge of Special Technique English in Vocational College to English Teachers＇ Qualities

The English teaching in vocational college falls into two stages, basic English teaching and special technique English teaching. People always pay more attention to the former, but neglect the latter. As a result, students are not able to link up the knowledge they has learned with their work later. We can not only find the special technique English indubitable, but also the lacks of teachers who are adopting this teaching method. The writer considers teachers＇ qualities can deeply affect the English teaching. This paper analyzes the qualities of teachers and reasons which influence the teaching of special technique English, then it makes suggestions on how to help teachers do well in special technique English teaching.
