PowerPoint,as a kind of popular teaching assisted software for Intensive English course,the basic course for English majors,has its unique advantages in application.As a presentation tool,it is quite suitable for classroom teaching;as a presentation text,it satisfies the requirements of comprehensive language training;as a presentation form,it enhances the systematic language teaching style.The advantages of PowerPoint application,however,are only for assistance because of the limits in technology and teaching methods,and cannot be used as the only teaching approach.
