| Abstract: | This paper presents a necessary and sufficient condition for the generation of direct sum decomposition of L 2(R) by multiresolution analysis of multiplicity r . Then, we get the direct sum decomposition of L 2(R) associated with wavelets of multiplicity r . The necessary and sufficient condition for exact reconstruction is also given. |
