| Abstract: | The concept of Geographic Information Science was put forward by Goodchild in 1992. The bringing up of Geo-Information Science is a inevitable request on developing in apply and technology of GIS to a appropriate standard. It is forming by promoting on studying of globe change and strategy of sustainable development, and is a base of science and technology of Digitalearth. Digitalearth offeres an origin force for development of Geo-Information Science. This paper introduces the concept of Digitalearth and analyzes the key technology of Digitalearth; approaches the tendency of GIS, discusses on the category and studying content; explaines the concept and base composition of GIS; expoundes finally the interrelation of GIS and Geo-Information Science and Digitalearth. |
