| Abstract: | Classroom interaction is primarily achieved through the mode of＂teacher questioning -- students＇ response＂. Effective teacher questioning is thus an important way to promote classroom interaction. Based on the IRF structure by Sinclair and Coulthard （1975）, and some previous researches on classroom questioning, this paper attempts to explore the general features of classroom questioning in context of college English teaching in China. |
