| Abstract: | "Proverbs are the daughters of daily experience". Proverbs come from real life and reflect real life. They reflect almast all aspects of life. They are also an important part of culture. Therefore, studying of proverbs helps us better understand life and culture. A good many proverbe reflect the life of women and display various female images. This paper discusses the female images in Chinese and English proverbs and analyzes the causes that lead to such images from different angles. |
