| Abstract: | Summary Pulsatile pattern of basal insulin secretion in conscious dog can be modified by the administration of general anesthesia (nembutal): the amplitude of secretory bursts is dramatically reduced. The possibility that a primary control of basal insulin secretion is in the CNS cannot be excluded. |
