Abstract:In order to investigate the magnetic interaction between 3d atoms inthe Th_6Mn_(23)-type rare earth compound,the magnetic structural pro-perties of Y_6(Fe_(1-x)Al_x)_(23)were studied by neutron diffraction.Neutron diffraction studies of the compounds with the experimentalresults of neutron diffraction of Y_6(Fe_(1-x)Mn_x)_(23)compounds give evidencefor that the preferential atomic ordering and the nearest neighbor distancebetween the atoms in the compounds arc main factors of determining theproperties of 3d-3d magnetic interaction.
