摘    要:研究了地球磁层中粒子投掷角扩散过程,分析了强扩散、弱扩散和一般扩散等特性.计算结果表明,在强扩散过程中,粒子填满整个损失锤区域;而对于弱扩散过程,损失锤区域粒子数很少.此结果可解释带电粒子在地球磁暴时,由于投掷角扩散而向大气层发生沉降的观测现象.

Abstract:The pitch angle scattering of particles is studied in the magnetosphere for three cases:the strong scattering,the weak scattering and the regular scattering.It is found that in the case of the strong scattering,particles can fill in the whole loss cone,whereas,in the case of weak scattering,the loss cone is almost empty.The results may explain the observation that particles precipitate into the atmosphere during the magnetospheric storms.
