“新甬商”是指改革开放以来崛起的宁波籍商人群体,是宁波商业传统与现实政治文化的产物.“新甬商”在近30年取得了经济上的巨大成功,但在商业文化的制度建构与精神引领两个层面尚有诸多不足.一个重要原因是传统的“经世致用”的商业文化精神本身存在无法克服的缺陷,另一原因则是商业文化受到现实的制度文化与商业环境的严重制约.

The new Ningbo entrepreneurs refer to the group of Ningbo businessmen that saw its burgeoning and thriving since China＇s reform and opening up. This group has gained enormous economic achievements during the last three decades. Meanwhile, deficiencies have been manifest in the establishment of the entrepreneurial regulations and an effective spiritual guideline. One critical reason is that the traditional principle of pragmatism has led to formidable disadvantages that are insolvable to the business culture itself.
