| Abstract: | For the functions on the semiaxis, the authors introduce a Stancu-type operatoe and the probabilistic arguments are used to prove the theorem of approximation. The rates of cenverhence are given in tems of the first and second moduli of continuity. Moreover, a pointwise approximation is given for the function of bounded variation. |
