RESEARCH ON FOLK VALUE PURSUIT OF CULTURAL CONSERVATISM NOVEL SINCE PERFORMING THE REFORM AND OPENING UP POLICY

Since performing the reform and opening up policy, a cultural conservatism novel has conspicuous folk value pursuit, mainly displays in three aspects: writing folk customs and good human nature, to oppose the distortion of human nature by instrumental rationality; acknowledging non-standard folk culture, to question and reflect the enlightenment discourse as modern mainstream; describing the mysterious?culture and?original?folk?beliefs, to challenge rational thinking?and scientific?doctrine. This trend of folk position can be seen as an effort to rectify and counterbalance the bias of instrumental rationality via aesthetic modernity, and also a desire and?pursuit of constructing healthy and harmonious relationship between man and nature.
