硒的生物效应的活性氧自由基机理

摘    要:基于对硒的不同生物效应的系统研究工作,本文提出了硒的生物效应的自由基机理.在一定的生物体系,当硒浓度保持在适宜的范围时,硒有效地清除生物体内的活性氧自由基;当硒浓度较高时,在一定条件下可催化产生活性氧自由基.这是Weinberg原理所描述的硒的生物效应与浓度关系的解释.

Abstract:Based on a series of investigations on various biological effects of Se and the work reported in literature, the active oxygen radical (AOR) mechanism relating to the biological effect of selenium has been found. In a given biological system, Se will scavenge AOR. However, the physiological function goes on normally. But in a high concentration, Se will catalyze the generation of AOR under certain conditions, and toxicity will be manifested. This may well be an explanation about the relation between the biological effect of Se and its concentration described by the Weinberg principle.
