周作人附逆期间的“民族主义”表达

周作人附逆期间曾经对当时的中国文化建设发表过一些看法.他在事后强调自己的这些看法意在“说明中国有自己的中心思想”、“为民族求生存”.因此,木山英雄将他的这一时期的文化建设思想表述为“复古”,陈思和、董炳月等则强调其落水的性格悲剧,强调其民族主义表达的相对合理性.其实,周作人附逆期间的民族主义表达并不是单纯的复古,而是其自五四新文化运动以来就有的取中国传统文化和西方现代文化融合的思路.他附逆的悲剧,固然有个人性格的悲剧,但更重要的因素可能是当时专制政体与民族主义的现代原则存在着不可调和的矛盾.
