| Abstract: | The English and Chinese idioms have their particular characteristics owing to the different features of their cultures. The cultural factors influence the translation of idioms. This article discusses the influence that the cultural factors bring on the translatability of English and Chinese idioms and makes research on the responding ways of translation. |
