摘    要:对基于半导体光放大器交叉增益调制的波长转换的输出噪声特性作了理论分析,获得了反映注入光参数对转换的信号噪声特性影响的解析表达式,通过数学计算表明,大的泵浦光功率、小的探测光功率以及合适的波长转换间隔,有利于改善转换信号的噪声特性.

Abstract:The output noise characteristics of the wavelength conversion due to the cross gain modulation (XGM) in a semiconductor optical amplifier (SOA) are studied theoretically. An analytic expression to describe the influences of input optical parameters on noise characteristics of converted signals is developed. The numerical simulation results show that higher pump power, lower probe power, as well as suitable wavelength conversion spans are the advantages to the improvement of the noise characteristics.
