Fan Pen Chen的中西影戏起源与传播研究补缀

美国学者Fan Pen Chen通过对中国影戏和世界各地影戏特点的比较,提出中国在十世纪以前没有影戏．最早的影戏（包括中国影戏）起源于中亚土耳其,而后再传到中国和欧洲各国。但范文在证据和逻辑方面均有严重的缺陷。其结论并不能动摇国内学者的既有结论。

A Brief Comment on Fan Pen Chen's Research on Chinese Shadow Theatre

Through a contrastive study of Chinese shadow theatre and the shadow theatres in other countries of the world, Fan Pen Chen puts forth that Chinese shadow theatre didn＇t exist before the lOth century, and that the earliest shadow theatre took its root not in China but in Turkey of the middle Asia from which it spread to other parts of the world, including China and some European countries. However, Fan Pen Chen＇s conclusion, being very weak in logic and evidence from many aspects, is not convincing and it can not shake off the traditional conclusion.
