Abstract:To clear the source of soil heavy metal pollution in a mongo producing area in Panxi, this article is based on geographic information system (GIS), combined with the mathematical statistics, correlation analysis and Positive Matrix Factorization (PMF) analysis method for analysis of pollution situation and source identification of soil heavy metals in a mongo producing area located in Miyi county, Panzhihua, Sichuan province. The results showed that:(1) Compared with the risk screening values for soil contamination of agricultural (GB15618-2018), Cd in all soil samples exceeds the standard, and exceeding standard rate of Cr, Cu and Ni ranges from 29.63% to 37.04%, and only Pb and Zn satisfies the quality requirement of national soil environment. (2) Only the average Zn content in the six heavy metals did not exceed the background value of Sichuan Province, and the average other heavy metals exceeded the background value;(3) No excessive heavy metals were detected in mango pulp, and no sign of enrichment of heavy metals in mango was found;(4) Cd plays a controlling role in soil heavy metal pollution in the study area, mainly from soil parent material and agricultural production activities, and the total contribution rate of pollution sources related to human production activities to Cd is 2.3 times that of soil parent material sources;(5) Industrial and agricultural production activities are main sources of Cu in soil and their contribution rate is 97.19%. (6) Cr and Ni mainly come from agricultural production activities such as fertilization during mango planting.
