摘    要:利用RNAi技术, 通过干扰秀丽线虫中的sod-3基因表达, 建立了因超氧化物歧化酶3(SOD3)表达缺失引起快速衰老的线虫模型,为sod-3 基因功能的研究以及相关疾病的基因治疗等提供动物模型.

Abstract:According to the oxidative damage theory of aging, free radicals, particularly reactive oxygen species (ROS), are responsible for the senescence and many human diseases. ROS are generated during normal metabolic process in all the oxygen utilizing organisms. They are detoxified by superoxide dismutase. The manganese containing superoxide dimutase 3 (SOD3) has been shown to play a role in the aging process in Caenorhabditis elegans. In this research, we show that sod-3 RNA interference (RNAi) inducesinsenecencein Caenorhabditis elegansas expected. This method can be used to understand the process of aging and the mechanism of antioxidance.
