| Abstract: | The steady state composition profiles of ternary azeotropic mixtures in a continuous distillation column were investigated and calculated with feed compositions on the ridge or in the valley of the boiling temperature surfaces of the systems.The success of crossing ridges and valleys was presented experimentally and the possibility of realization was discussed theoretically.In addition,a new idea for solving nonlinear ordinary differential equations corresponding to the composition profile near the ridge or the valley was proposed. |
