| 摘 要： | 英语虚拟语气是英语语法界争论的焦点之一,也是英语教学当中的难点.首先解释了虚拟语气的定义以及这种叫法的由来,然后综合介绍评述了中外英语语法界对它的不同观点和看法,最后从时态意义的角度提出建议采用"二分法"即把虚拟语气分为be型和were型两大类来教授,并详细介绍列举了这一语法内容在"二分法"下的各种形式和此种分法的优势.

| Abstract: | Subjunctive mood in English has long been the focus of argument in English grammatical field and a difficult issue in English teaching as well. This paper firstly introduces the definition of subjunctive mood and then reviews different existing viewpoints about it from both home and abroad. The writer suggests the choice of 'binary method', which is divided based on tenses after detailed analyses of different divisions of subjunctive mood. A variety of uses from this binary perspective are introduced and advantages of this method discussed. |
