利益原则是一定社会经济关系的轴心。经济学的产生是基于如何以最小的投入获取最大的利益，回报。通过对中国传统价值观和西方资本主义价值观的历史分析可知：儒家双重伦理道德有利于社会的和睦，但没能有效地促进科技和物质明的发展；西方利已主义的道德虽推动了科技的发展，但却使人和社会处于分裂的窘境，着眼于全球化和人类的可持续发展，必须建立适应市场经济内在要求的新型社会主义道德体系。
