| 摘 要： | 本文介绍了英语新闻标题的词法及语法特点。为了增强简洁性和可读性，节省版面篇幅，新闻标题常用缩略词和短小词。在语法方面，标题英语通常采用省略简化，灵活运用时态、定语前置等手段来简缩句式。

| Abstract: | In order to help readers understand English News Headlines better, the author sums up some morphological and grammatical features of English News headlines by illustrating many instances . And he indicates that acronyms, clippings and midget words used in headlines contribute a great deal to its briefness ,readability and the page space .In terms of grammar, methods of omission ,simplification ,flexible usage of tenses and preceded attribute are employed to make headlines simple and short. |
