简评爱因斯坦及其科学贡献

首先对爱因斯坦的生平,特别是爱因斯坦在瑞士伯尔尼专利局期间的情况进行分析,总结至少有三个原因使爱因斯坦能在科学探索过程中取得丰硕的成果.其次重点对其科学成就、科学方法等方面进行回顾和综述,评述相对论及其哲学意义,即相对论对于现代物理学的发展和现代人类思维的方式都产生了重大而深远的影响.最后回忆爱因斯坦和中国的交往,主要通过同周培源和束星北的交往为线索加以介绍,以此纪念伟大的相对论发表100周年.

Briefly Comment on Einstein and His Contributions to Science

It first of all briefly introduces Einstein's life, especially his years in the Swiss patent office at Berne, and lists at least three factors accounting for Einstein's great achievements in science. Second, it reviews and summarizes his scientific accomplishments and methods, appraises the Theory of Relativity and its philosophic significance, i.e., its important and far-reaching influence on the progress of modern physics as well as the methods of human thought. Finally it recalls Einstein's affiliation with China, which features mostly his personal contact with ZHOU Pei-yuan ,SHU Xing-bei. It is written as a memorial to 100th anniversary of the publication of the Theory of Relativity.
