学习词典中动词BE的探讨

摘    要:在不同的研究者看来,动词be词性存在不同的划分,有的按照传统把动词be分成三大类:助动词、实义动词和连系动词。有的则突破传统,创造性地把动词be归并为一个大类,即连系动词。通过对几个具有代表性的划分观点的对比,结合现行的五大学习词典,发现具有归并动词be的词性划分的可能性,即动词be可以作为新的学习词典中的词目。

Abstract:For different researchers, there are different ways to demarcate the grammatical category of the verb BE. Following the tradition, some divided it into three categories: auxiliary verb, content verb and linking verb. Others, breaking the restriction of tradition, came up with a brand new idea that the verb BE can be conflated into one category: linking verb. This article, through the comparison among various typical ideas of dividing the verb, together with the investigation into the big five learner's dictionaries, tries to seek the possibility of conflating the verb and develop a possible thought of how to present the verb BE in a new learner's dictionary.
