雅典国家“农本民主论”质疑

传统观点认为雅典国家的民主政治是商品经济活跃和发展的产物,因此其性质是工商业民主政治。但最近这些年由于受西方学者的影响,以复旦大学①黄洋博士为代表提出了一种新观点,认为雅典国家的民主政治是建立在农业经济亦即传统意义上的小农经济基础之上的民主政治,雅典国家民主政治的主体是农民而不是工商业者,农民处在雅典国家政治生活的中心舞台。因此,雅典国家的民主政治是农民民主政治而不是工商业民主政治。文章通过论证,这种＂农本民主论＂在理论上讲不通,在实践上也难以行得通,史料证据也不充分。

Investigation on the Theory of Agricultural Democracy of Athens

It is traditionally believed that the city-state of Athens＇Democracy was the outcome of activating and developing commodity economy,so it＇s an industry and commerce democracy.In recent years,researchers such as Dr.Huang Yang of Fudan University who was largely influenced by western scholars put forward a new standpoint——the Athens＇democracy was literally based on agricultural economy,namely,the traditional small-scale peasant economy,the main body of Athens＇democracy lied in peasants instead of industrialists and businessmen,and peasants were in the arena stage of Athens politics activities.So they considered the democracy of Athens was based on peasant economy instead of industry and commerce economy.In this article,the author intends to prove the above viewpoint unconvincing both in theory and practice,especially insufficiently backed for historical materials.
