素描中的“整体”是具有目的性的，是一种对画面全局关系的处理。在这种关系里，最主要的是指素描画面中所有的视觉表达要素必定要产生一定的联系，这种关系不是无原则的堆砌，而是它们均有一个共同的指向，这个指向不是别的，它就是画家的一个构思、创意、观念或者想要表达的感受。
